Cookies

Most websites open by asking whether you accept cookies. This one does not — it has nothing to put to you. We run no Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, we have no advertising or conversion pixels, we do not track you across other sites, and we embed no maps, videos or social media buttons. Fonts and property photographs are served from our own server, so while you are on this site your browser asks nothing of any third party.

The one thing your browser stores

A technical cookie named NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the site language. It holds the value sk or en and nothing else — no identifier that could be used to recognise you, and it is sent nowhere off this site. It is a session cookie: it disappears when you close your browser.

It is stored when you switch language, or when the language a page is shown in differs from the one set in your browser. Without it, the site would drop you back into its default language every time you opened a page.

Why we do not ask you about it

The cookie rules — Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Slovak Electronic Communications Act (No. 452/2021 Coll.) — require consent for storage that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. A cookie remembering your choice of language is not in that category: it is a user preference of the same kind as the contents of a shopping basket. That is why there is no consent bar here — a deliberate decision, not an omission.

If you would rather not have it

Every browser can block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. The site works without it — it simply will not remember your language between visits. Everything else, the listings search and the contact form included, behaves exactly the same.

If this changes

If we ever add an analytics tool, or anything else that stores data in your browser, we will update this page first and — where consent is required — ask for it before anything is stored. How we handle the personal data you send us through the forms is described in our Privacy policy.
